Pilus & Perithecium

Pilus is what one bacterium uses to copulate with another. The aroused touch, in contact with its partner, will incite conjugation,allowing a mixing of fluids & exchange of instruction.

Perithecium is one of several types of fruiting bodies of the phylum Ascomycota. Conjugation is facilitated by the ostiole, a small pore atop the amphora-shaped sac of burgeoning spores.

Like the ant, philosopher & funnel weaver, they benefit from desires that get realized in the presence of pores.

Oospore

Aquatic oomycetes (of the phylum Oomycota, the kingdom, Protista) commence the generation of novelty by the liberation of flagellated gametes & staid eggs (oogamy). A fragrance freed by the latter incites the former to swim its way toward pleasure, the satisfaction of which is the union of two to become one oospore (only genitalia could conceive of this!).

Through error, ignorance, ecstasy & excessive fatality, oomycetes have learned how to wait out starvation & death if not time & emptiness.

I have in ganglia the family Muscidae, that is of the Order Diptera, of the Class Insecta, of the Phylum Arthropoda, of the Kingdom Animalia, of the Domain Eukarya, of the symbionts Bacteria & Archaea & than the "shroud" about LUCA*, the evocations of Rock, the sticky Gas & Dust, the meanderings of the Grave, the effort of the Dark, the Energetic to dig a hole, the embryonic Light, a sink for the Error of Our Ways---the Error of Our Ways---this persistent ignorance in the of ganglia of those loved, now dead, waiting for rain.
